Dr. G. (Giulio) Mecacci

I received my PhD from the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behavior. Currently, I am a postdoctoral researcher at TUDelft and a lecturer (with tenure) at Radboud University. My field is ethics and philosophy of intelligent technology and neurotechnology.

I am currently researching the notion of meaningful human control over automated driving systems. By using an approach that is in line with the principles of responsible innovation and value driven design, I aim to minimise accountability gaps that automated driving systems can create. I am also co-coordinator of two courses in Ethics and Philosophy of AI at the department of AI at Radboud University.
