P. (Palok) Biswas
Profile
I am a Ph.D. Candidate in the HIPPO lab at TU Delft. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic Engineering from the University of Nottingham and a master's degree in Artificial Intelligence (AI) from the University of Malaya. Prior to my Ph.D., I have worked with an UN-backed social enterprise providing access to clean energy in rural Bangladesh. I have also developed AI algorithms to improve water conservation management in Malaysia.
Research
My research aims to find effective ways of applying AI to design fair and equitable policies without exacerbating existing inequalities. One of the goals of my research is to enable policymakers to better understand the distributional outcomes of applying different ethical principles in climate policies.
