One of the most energizing things in life is if you are able to bring people together that normally would not meet. There have been many calls for new practices of public and digital participation in social transitions over the last years, it is quite rare to see those calls translate into practice. With PVE, we have reached a new scale and depth in connecting politicians, experts and citizens, which is tremendously important in times of polarization, fragmentation and disinformation – issues in that I as a political scientist sometimes worry about. Clearly, they give us opportunities to innovate democracy and to formulate better evaluated, just and more inclusive decisions.
This truly demands team members that you would normally not meet in a standard career, which makes me again very glad to be a part of.
