CIRPASS – Digital Product Passport

Dutch Principal Investigator: TU Delft researchers Boriana Rukanova, Dr. Jolien Ubacht & Yao-Hua Tan (meet the team)
Planned period: October 2022 - March 2024

Project summary: CIRPASS is preparing the ground for the gradual piloting and deployment of the Digital Product Passports, focusing on developing a roadmap for prototypes in three value chains: electronics, batteries and textiles.

About the project

CIRPASS is a collaborative initiative to prepare the ground for the gradual piloting and deployment of a standards-based Digital Product Passport (DPP). The DPP needs to be aligned with the requirements of the EU Proposal for Ecodesign for Sustainable Product Regulations (ESPR). The focus of the project is on the electronics, batteries, and textile sectors.

Our team contributes by providing an analytical framework for the analysis of DPP initiatives to create an overview of technical and informational aspects. These are the basis for creating reliable and transparent data sharing arrangements for circularity in supply chains.
