Dr. Ylenia Casali

Postdoctoral researcher

Born in Milan, Italy, I did my bachelors and masters in Environmental and Land Planning Engineering, from Politecnico di Milano in 2014. I received my PhD degree in 2019 from ETH Zurich. During my PhD, I worked for the Future Resilience Systems programme at the Singapore-EHT Centre. My research was about road infrastructure networks, their changes in time and their robustness under flooding events and unexpected disruptions. Furthermore, I have experience in collaborating with the governmental authority for analysis of urban data. My research interests are on urban geography and analytics, social justice, resilience theory and urban history. Currently, I am working as a postdoc researcher at the Technology Policy Management department of TU Delft. My research focus at TU Delft is to investigate land use and transportation resilience in urban environments.
