Journal Club

To minimalize the risk of the spreading the coronavirus, this event is temporarily on hold. Hopefully, we will be able to open our doors again soon!
In the mean time, have a look at the agenda for an overview of the upcoming online events - and watch back the recordings of past events.

What does research tell us on how to design efficient teaching and learning (with technology)? One of TU Delft’s strategic goals is to enhance evidence-based education. To achieve this, there is a need for basic knowledge based on teaching and learning principles developed and studied in educational research. Therefore, the Academic Director of the Teaching Academy, Annoesjka Cabo, together with director of LDE-Center for Education and Learning, Marcus Specht, initiated the Journal Club.

In the Journal Club lecturers, researchers, practitioners, learning- and technology developers meet and discuss articles and books regarding innovation in education. Following a flipped-classroom approach, the participants read one article or chapter before coming to the Journal Club session where they discuss this with peers with guidance of a moderator. The selected articles are outstanding landmarks of learning science and instructional technology, and are amongst the most cited papers in the field of educational research and technologies.
