Guidelines TU Delft TV Productions

  1. TU Delft TV makes videos and animations about research, student projects and other TU Delft related topics.
  2. TU Delft TV has the freedom to choose which subjects are produced; this is done in consultation with the editors.
  3. The TU Delft TV editorial team consists of: Simon Aerts (Science Centre Delft), Noor Schaafsma (TU Delft), Kim Boltjes (TU Delft)
  4. The entire production is done by students; changes in capacity and group composition can delay, speed up or cancel projects.
  5. The production process consists of the following steps:
    1. Subject selection
    2. Deploy to students (MS Teams)
    3. Determine storyline and script
    4. Production of video, animations and/or voice-over
    5. Editing material and selection of music
    6. Feedback and iteration
    7. Release on various online channels (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, ...)
  6. If the lead time allows, the storyline and script will be checked and possibly adjusted by the final editors.
  7. The filmed party is given the opportunity to provide one round of feedback on the first edit; third parties (family, colleagues, etc.) have no say in this.
    1. Due to the turnaround time, the filmed party has 24 hours after sending the file to provide feedback.
    2. Feedback by the filmed party is exclusively on a substantive level; TU Delft TV retains full creative control.
    3. The final editing takes place immediately after the feedback process.
  8. Any content-related conflicts must be resolved before online release and within the given turnaround time. Subsequent changes and requests to take it offline will not be honored.
  9. Final editing of TU Delft TV internal productions lies with the TU Delft TV editorial staff. When using TU Delft TV as a service, the responsibility lies with the client.
  10. Simon Aerts (Science Centre Delft) assesses and takes final decisions in case of disputes.
