Want to transform your designs into something tangible? The ACTlab (Arts, Crafts and Technology lab) is a place to experiment and design. The lab brings people together from different disciplines, including craftspeople, artists, designers and academics. Not only you can work independently in the lab, but you can also do VR gaming.

 

ACTlab is short for Arts, Crafts and Technology lab. It is a place to experiment and design, transforming your designs into something tangible. In addition to working under the supervision of our assistants in the lab, you can also do VR gaming.

During the Open Studio hours, you can work under the supervision of an assistant in the ACTlab on your own projects. ACTlab is short for Arts, Crafts and Technology lab. It is a place to experiment and design, transforming your designs into something tangible.

• Lasergraaf (laser cutter)

• Glowforge: latest desktop laser cutter/engraver

• HTC Vive Pro VR set

• ‘New Alienware Aurora’ VR computers

• Canon 2000 with Nodal Ninja Ultimate R1

• Green screen

 

In the ACTlab you can use the following software and more:

• Adobe Creative Cloud

• Unity and Unreal

• Latest release of 360⁰ tour-design software

• CADware

• Audacity

 

The Open Studio is open to anyone with an X subscription, at any time when an assistant is present. All you need to do is register beforehand. The assistant is there to help when needed, to give tips and advice and to ensure that all materials and equipment are used responsibly and safely.
