The counsellor is one of the experts within Boost. Are there personal problems that make you feel uncomfortable and less able to function effect how you operate? Janne de Kan
Janne de Kan works in our team of psychologists as a Prevention Psychologist. In this (new) position she is going to develop and implement prevention activities to support students and their mental well-being. Janne studied Health Psychology at the University of Twente in Enschede and she has gained experience both in a commercial setting and in an educational setting. In the team of psychologists she gives different kinds of workshops, among which ‘Mindful coping with stress’. She is also one of the counsellors of Boost.
Mary is specialised in advising students on study options. She has presented many workshops on study choices, rethinking study options, or looking for the best Master to apply for.
Jan van Beek
Jan works in the team of psychologists as a student psychologist. In this position he helps and supports students and PHDs to live their (student) life with more satisfaction. On the one hand by looking at how they can study more effectively, on the other hand by looking at how students can further develop their psychological flexibility. He works using positive psychology and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT). In addition to individual conversations, he also gives workshops and lectures on improving psychological skills.
Olga has many years of work experience as a coach in the sports sector. At the TU Delft she manages the elite sport policies and gives advice to elite sport students. She helps them to combine studying and elite sport, and supporting them in overcoming the obstacles they may encounter.
