Dodgeball originated in Africa and was already played there 200 years ago. However, this was in a completely different form to how we know the sport; players threw stones at each other in order to improve their strength and endurance.

Today, dodgeball is known differently; it has developed into a worldwide sport in which two teams try to eliminate each other's players by hitting them with (soft) balls.

During the dodgeball ticket hour you play a number of matches. A couple of enthusiastic dodgeball players make sure that you learn all the ins and outs of the sport. They also make sure the ticket hour is well organised and safe.

Frank Broy

Frank is currently studying Computer Science and Engineering at TU Delft. He has played football for 14 years starting when he was only 4 years old. When he went to university, he also got into climbing, but Dodgeball has always been one of his passions. He started a small group with friends in 2019 to play Dodgeball together which rapidly grew and is still active today. And now, he is a teacher for Dodgeball at X!

Frank wants to make the sport accessible to everyone. What’s most important to him is that everyone has fun when they are practising sports, whether this is alone or in a team!
