Dodgeball originated in Africa and was already played there 200 years ago. However, this was in a completely different form to how we know the sport; players threw stones at each other in order to improve their strength and endurance.

Today, dodgeball is known differently; it has developed into a worldwide sport in which two teams try to eliminate each other's players by hitting them with (soft) balls.

During the dodgeball ticket hour, you play several matches, get some insight into various techniques and tactics that are used during games and get familiar with the official rules of the game. Our enthusiastic dodgeball instructors make sure that you learn all the ins and outs of the sport. They also make sure the ticket hour is well organised and safe. During the ticket hour, we play the "foam" variant.

Frank Broy

Frank is currently doing his Master's in Cybersecurity at TU Delft. He has practised many different sports, from football to water sports, such as Wakeboarding. He got into climbing and bouldering when he went to university, but Dodgeball has always been one of his passions. He started a small group with friends in 2019 to play Dodgeball together, which rapidly grew and is still active today.

Frank wants to make the sport accessible to everyone. Whatโ€™s most important to him is that everyone has fun when they are practising sports, whether this is alone or in a team!
