Through the ages, many artists have been inspired by the human body, particularly the face. From prehistoric cave paintings and realistic portraits from the Dutch Golden Age to more abstract works by Picasso. People are still a popular subject for contemporary artists; portrait and model drawing has never gone out of fashion!
In this course, you will acquire all the skills needed to create a good portrait painting. By learning about proportions, expressions, skin tones, face and skin structures, you will have the tools you need to create a credible and realistic portrait. During the course, you will work with oil paint, a material used by many great artists.
