Pole fitness is een intensieve training waarbij je je hele lichaam traint. Deze workout is een combinatie van dans, acrobatiek, cardio en krachttraining. De uitdaging is om de bewegingen zo elegant, vloeiend en efficient mogelijk uit te voeren. Hiervoor is een goede spierbeheersing nodig. Door iedere les nieuwe technieken uit te proberen word je steeds sterker.

In the beginners' course, you will learn the basic techniques on the pole. You will start each class with a warming-up, followed by some strength-building conditioning. The first class will start with some spins. You will build up strength to go upside down in the later classes.

Kirsten studies AES at the TU Delft. Besides her studies she followed a training to become a pole fitness teacher at Sportief Paaldansen in The Hague. She trains by herself multiple times a week at Pole Fitness The Hague and SportsArt Delft and carries out pole fitness demo's at i.a. competitions.

I practised and trained to become a pole dance teacher at Sportief Paaldansen in the Hague and Rotterdam. Teaching is the best thing there is. Pole dancing has given me self-confidence and I'd like to pass this experience on to others. In my classes we focus on gaining strength, flexibility and confidence.

In the intermediate/advanced course, you will extend the techniques you have learned during the beginner course. You will make longer combinations and transitions that will make the moves flow into each other nicely. We will combine the moves into a short choreography. You will also work on more advanced moves. You can take part in this course if you have experience in pole fitness.
