Snowboarding is an active sport, where both your feet are attached to a board and work your way down the piste. It is a mixture of summer surfing and winter skiing. There are various types of snowboarding. One of which is ‘freeriding’, where you board both on- and off-piste at your own pace. Another form is ‘alpine boarding’, which is all about speed and cornering. And then you have ‘freestyling’, where the focus is on performing stunts, tricks and jumps – for which you often use rails or halfpipes.

Board sports association DROP Delft organizes various snowboarding activities, such as clinics, excursions and lessons, in cooperation with X. These activities are organised regularly. DROP has a lot of enthusiastic members who snowboard at all levels, from beginners to expert freestylers. This means that it is always easy to find someone who snowboards at your level, and there is always someone who can teach you something.
