Get to know our Visiting Professors Lionel Devlieger and Maarten Gielen from Brussels based office ROTOR.

During their Public Lecture Thursday 11 May they will talk about their vision and methods.

Rotor is a collective of people with a common interest in the material flows in industry and construction. Representing a new approach to contemporary architectural practice, Rotor develops critical positions on design, material resources and waste through research, exhibitions, writings and conferences. Core element of their professorship is a special studio, focused on the deconstruction of modernist and contemporary buildings slated for demolition, to make their components available for a redesign assignment. An international conference on deconstruction and reuse will conclude their professorship at the faculty.

Within the Msc studio they will focus on the deconstruction of modernist and contemporary buildings slated for demolition, to make these components available for redesign.
