23 september 2019 21:00 t/m 23:00 - Door: Communication
Have you never done yoga before and want to know how to start? Maybe yoga is not new to you, but you would like to boost your improvement. Then make sure to join this introduction to yoga workshop to learn all the tricks to get the most out of your yoga practice!
Your first reaction to the question whether you want to come along to a yoga lesson could be something like: “I’m not flexible enough for that…”, “I want to do some real sports!”, “That’s for girls.”, or “I have never done that before...”. Do you recognize you saying this or hearing this from your friends? The truth about yoga couldn’t be any further from all those statements.
Yoga is anything you make from it and most importantly, it exactly fits your own needs by it being anything. Why and how? In its various styles, yoga ranges from relaxation through stretching to very heavy exercises, from fast to slow, from purely physical exercise to meditation and philosophy. And you can pick exactly what you want or need. In your busy student’s life, yoga is a great way to stay calm even through the hardest exam periods, as well as a way to stay healthy and avoid injuries resulting from other high performance sports.
Join this workshop if you want to learn what to focus on, in order to bring more inner awareness to your practises, and to learn how to work with your body and mind to get the most out of the yoga lessons offered at X. Importantly, this workshop is especially suitable for all levels.
Members of yoga association OHM see the great potential of this physical exercise, philosophy and lifestyle that yoga has to offer. Together with X and highly experienced teacher Martijn van Stam, OHM decided to give you a chance to see all the stereotypes and offer you an insight to what yoga is about.
