DEAN Virtual event Nordics
26 maart 2020 20:00
Thursday 26 March at 20.00 hrs Nordic alumni can meet alumni from both their own city and around the Nordics as part of our first ever Zoom online event and borrel of the Dutch Engineers Alumni Network (DEAN).
The interactive evening programme includes brief updates from the universities, followed by a short talk by TU Delft alumnus Bastiaan Lagaune about how the expanding space industry impacts our daily lives.
During the second part of the programme we will hear updates from alumni in our local DEAN communities in Denmark, Finland, Norway & Sweden about their current situation which will be an opportunity to share information and tips with each other. Per tradition, our gathering concludes with a virtual borrel (BYOB) where you and your fellow alumni will be mixed with each other to maximize interactions and stimulate conversations!
Why are your Alumni Offices organizing this online event?
For expats who are living outside of their own countries, alumni networks such as DEAN can be extremely useful resources for tapping into fellow alumni for advice and support particularly during crisis periods. The new online event format that we will be testing on Thursday has been developed to enhance local connections between alumni and is an addition to other existing channels such as the Nordics Linkedin group and city based whatsapp groups.
To join this event register via the button so that further details can be shared.
Please note that we have a maximum capacity of 100 participants for this activity – if necessary a waiting list will be created.
Note that this event is a pilot and we hope to use the experience also for planning future virtual gatherings in other locations around the world.
