A lot of lecturers do some basic research on their education. One of TU Delft’s strategic goals is to enhance evidence-based education. What we first need is basic knowledge based on teaching and learning principles developed and researched in educational research. As the Academic Director of the Teaching Academy, Annoesjka Cabo therefore together with Marcus Specht, director of LDE-Center for Education and Learning initiates the journal club “Research evidence for educational practice”.
Save the date:
Thursday 5 March, 12:30-13:30 hours (walk-in from 12:15 hours with lunch), Teaching Lab
Following a flipped-classroom approach, the participants read one article before coming to the session and start an open discussion on the article with one moderator. The core question to be addressed is: what does research tell us on how to design efficient teaching and learning (with technology). The selected articles are outstanding landmarks of learning science, instructional technology, and are amongst the most cited papers in the field of educational research and technologies.
In the journal club lecturers, researchers, practitioners, learning developers and technology developers meet.
The journal club takes place monthly in the Teaching Lab from 12:30-13:30 hours (walk-in from 12:15 hours) and includes lunch.
