Op 21 mei geeft Stavros Kousoulas de lezing 'Flights of a Spider: A Play of Architectural Limits'.

The significance of the limit lies in its potentiality: that which is neither structure nor operation yet. As such, an architectural limit does not belong to the past nor to the future, but to a constant present. On the limit that persistently transforms, expands, and shrinks, both the past and the future inform each other and in their informational tension, an architectural entity emerges. Consequently, the limit is where information (understood as meaning) spreads; following philosopher Gilbert Simondon, it is where transduction takes place. In this lecture, architectural transduction will be defined as the process whereby architecture undergoes information, where one architectural individual finds its principle of constitution in another. Therefore, if the limit is the here-and-now of individuation, then architecture, aiming in the production of new forms of life, must constantly practice novel ways of performing a play of limits; a play on what is yet to come.
