The Berlage Keynotes: Cambio/Design in Flux by Formafantasma

30 september 2021 18:30 t/m 20:00 - Locatie: Online - Door: Communication BK | Zet in mijn agenda

Formafantasma is a research-based design studio, founded in 2009 by Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin, investigating the ecological, historical, political, and social forces shaping today’s design discipline. Working from their studios in Milan and Rotterdam, the practice embraces a broad spectrum of typologies and methods, from product design and spatial design to strategic planning and design consultancy. The studio aims to facilitate a deeper understanding of both our natural and built environments, proposing transformative interventions through design and its material, technical, social, and discursive possibilities.

The Berlage Keynotes is an ongoing lecture series featuring internationally prominent architects, designers, and thinkers who are at the forefront of design discourse and innovation. A selection of speakers working from different disciplinary perspectives and in different geographic, cultural, and political contexts present how their work engages with contemporary issues and debates. This fall semester, speakers include MONADNOCK, Formafantasma, Lowie Vermeersch, GROSS.MAX., Matilde Cassani, HArquitectes, Kayoko Ota, and Annette Gigon.
