Delft Sustainable Structural Design webinars

The Structures section of the Faculty of Architecture has sustainable structural design as one of its core principles. Although sustainable structural design is a principle dating back to the Romans and before, it has come to increasing importance in recent years as the effects of climate change become ever more visible. This is leading to multiple initiatives in the field of sustainable structural design and engineering, both in practice by structural engineering firms as well as at the academic level at universities. As the changes in sustainable structural design practice outpace the publication of the results students and young professionals produce in the building technology, archineering and structural design field we have an increasing knowledge deficit which needs to be addressed urgently. In recognition of this a monthly series of webinars have been organised, aimed at MSc students and young professionals, where the critical new developments in both academia and practice are presented in an interactive way. The Sustainable Structural Design Webinar series is an initiative of the structures section at TU Delft and is linked to the New European Bauhaus initiative.
