A small scale prototype of a single phase transformer-less microinverter developed as part of the MSc. thesis that investigates the potential of implementing microinverters in residential PV systems. The advantage of the designed circuit are flexibility in expanding the system, redundant switching states and, less number of semi-conductor switches per PV module.
