Do you want to explore your creative side and make something really personal and cuddly? Join our incredibly fun fashion and screen printing workshop!
Creature pillows is a fashion, design and screen printing combination course.
In this 1-day course you will reuse fabrics and old plush toys/cushions/stuffing that you find in a thrift store or in the back of your closet and turn them into a cuddly creature pillow.
Yvonne Gaemers and Gees Voorhees have a lot of experience making costumes and soft sculptures and will guide you through the process. You will be able to customize your fabric by screen printing patterns or simple shapes. Doing perhaps an 'all over eyes print' or maybe some scary teeth! When you're done printing, you will draw and construct your design using pattern paper, scissors and a sewing machine! Some basic patterns for paws and ears will be available, but you're welcome to make your own. Hope to see you there!
