Thematic Peer Consultation | 5 July

To get the most out of these sessions, it is advised to attend both sessions linked to the topic. The first session is a regular peer consultation, no theory involved. The second is a follow up session. Starting with a reflection on the first session (and the period until the second session), supported with some theory. Followed by another regular peer consultation.

These themed sessions are facilitated by experienced educational advisors with a background in supervision. The meetings are aimed at sharing difficult or challenging situations and receiving advice or counsel. This is a good way to broaden perspectives and improving the ability to deal with different situations. Growing personally and professionally requires revealing limitations or challenges to others, which can feel difficult and can make participants feel vulnerable. The facilitators of the peer consultation groups are aware of this and strive to create a warm, welcoming and supportive environment which allows everyone to give and receive both guidance and feedback in a positive and respectful way.
