Bonsai Tree Workshop

In collaboration with the festival ‘Bonsai of the West’ we offer you a workshop of Bonsai shaping. If you have never formed a tree and are curious whether the hobby is for you, then please join our workshop! During the workshop you will receive guidance from experienced bonsaiists. And that's not all, the ticket for the workshop includes your own Bonsai tree and a free ticket for the festival Bonsai of the West.
Are you curious about bonsai? Then you can’t miss this workshop at the largest bonsai festival of the Netherlands. Bonsai of the West is an event that revolves around the care and presentation of bonsai. The aim is to inspire and motivate bonsaiists and to introduce a wide audience to this unique hobby. Bonsai of the West is a stand-alone event and is organized on a non-profit basis by a number of bonsai friends. This year the exhibition will be held for the 15th time.
This is the first year that X and Bonsai of the West collaborate and offer you this workshop + bonsai tree + ticket to the festival. The workshop is offered on Saturday 10 June from 10:30 to 13:00. You will receive guidance from experiences bonsaiists. At the end of the workshop, you know the basics and you can bring home your own bonsai tree.
Next to the workshop that we organize together with Bonsai of the West, the festival includes: a bonsai exhibition, various activities, demonstrations of bonsai forms, taichi, suiseki and you can enjoy a chair massage. There are also guided tours of the bonsai exhibition, various sales stands with bonsai and related items and there is a raffle of the bonsai demonstration.
The festival will be held at TU Delft Hortus Botanicus during the weekend of 10 and 11 June 2023 and will be open on both days from 10:00 to 17:00.
The Bonsai Tree Workshop was so popular that it sold out immediately. In coordination with Bonsai of the West, we will be organising a 2nd workshop on Sunday 11 June from 10.30 - 13.00.
