Development of a full scale PEA based space charge measurement system for HCDC cables
I would focus on optimizing the PEA method for space charge measurement in both software and hardware. In terms of hardware, a measurement system with higher integration and better shielding effect will be developed, reducing the electromagnetic interference between the measuring elements and exploring the position of the pulse. In terms of software, a detailed signal processing scheme will be proposed to correct measurement signals and improve measurement accuracy. In the next stage, I would investigate the impact of space charges on aging and lifetime of polymeric insulation material and study correlation between the intensity of space charges and the lifetime curve. Furthermore, a space charge suppression model based on finite element analysis will be established to explore accumulation of space charge inside polymeric insulation material and the parameters that impact its distribution. Finally, I would propose feasible methods to inhibit the negative accumulation of space charge.
