Dr. A. Gangwal is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Delft Blockchain Lab (DBL) of TU Delft, Netherlands. In DBL, he is working on the security and privacy aspects of the blockchain technology under the supervision of Prof. Zekeriya Erkin and Prof. Stefanie Roos. He received his PhD degree in Brain, Mind, and Computer Science (advisor: Prof. Mauro Conti) from University of Padua, Italy, in 2020. His PhD was fully funded by the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo (CaRiPaRo) fellowship for international students. In 2019, he was a Visiting Research Scholar (host: Prof. Giuseppe Ateniese) at Stevens Institute of Technology, USA. Prior to pursuing his PhD, he received his MTech degree (advisor: Prof. Manoj Singh Gaur) in Computer Engineering from MNIT Jaipur, India and BTech degree in Information Technology from RTU Kota, India. He has published a decent number of research papers in top journals and conferences, presented multiple papers at international conferences, delivered (invited) talks, successfully harvested multiple international collaborations, and received the media's attention for his research works.
Ankit has worked in different mainstream areas of research, including distributed ledger technology (blockchain and cryptocurrency), networking (SDN and ICN), and AI (GAN-based password cracking). However, the main theme of his research has always been security and privacy.
