Diversity & Inclusion
In 2017 TU Delft established the Diversity Office, headed by David Keyson. Consistent with this, diversity prominently features in the TU Delft Strategic Framework 2018-2024, describing it “as a cornerstone for excellence and innovation” (p. 37), and the first value of the six DIRECT values of TU Delft (Diversity, Integrity, Respect, Engagement, Courage, Trust, p. 12).
"Delft University of Technology stands for diversity and inclusion. It tries to ensure that everyone who wants to study or work here feels at home and can bring out the best in themselves"
At the same time that these efforts were being carried out at the TUDelft level, various grass roots initiatives aimed at strengthening diversity and inclusion emerged at the EEMCS faculty. This resulted in the idea to integrate all activities of the faculty in a dedicated EEMCS Diversity and Inclusion Team (EDIT), whose scope will be aligned with the scope of the TU Delft wide Diversity Office.
