Stratos Raket II

Themes: Robotics

Early prototype

A TRL is a measure to indicate the matureness of a developing technology. When an innovative idea is discovered it is often not directly suitable for application. Usually such novel idea is subjected to further experimentation, testing and prototyping before it can be implemented. The image below shows how to read TRL’s to categorise the innovative ideas.

Why?

The Stratos rocket is part of the sounding rocket development line for scientific research at altitudes between 50km and a few 100km. A research goal more distant is time to develop a rocket that can be used to launch a nano-satellite into a low earth orbit via an air-launch.

How?

Via experimental research, supported by the korolev lab, practical data is collected to optimise the designs, train excellent engineers and support payloads to generate a customer demand.

When?

A spin-off company was started (T-Minus) that is offering services at the moment. When the rockets mature and start reaching higher altitudes, the market is expected to grow. (Atmospheric measurements for climate monitoring and micro gravity experiments).
