Usually such novel idea is subjected to further experimentation, testing and prototyping before it can be implemented. The image below shows how to read TRL’s to categorise the innovative ideas.

Why?

Despite the increasing pervasiveness of digital entertainment and serious games in organizational life, there is only limited research on team performance in digital games, nor is there much evidence for the efficacy of digital game-based team training or the validity of digital game-based team assessment.

How?

Research data are collected through pre- and post-game questionnaires focusing on psychological constructs such as psychological safety and team cohesiveness. In addition, a large quantity of in-game data is logged to construct team performance indicators like time to complete task, distance and avoidable mistakes.

When?

Game-based team training and assessment with TeamUp is entering the market. Validated stealth assessment of game-based training is an important contributor.
