Dr. ir. Berg, M. van den
Mignon van den Berg is the Program Coordinator of Mobility at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering.
At IDE we focus on the societal challenges Health, Mobility and Sustainability to bring a unique way of thinking and working into these application fields. By developing tools and methods which integrate the three main perspectives – people, technology and organisation, IDE is there to focus on the user and user needs and values!
My goal as Program Coordinator Mobility is to position IDE as the global leader in design research within the societal challenge of mobility. I manage the cross-departmental coordination within the Mobility theme at Industrial Design Engineering, with other faculties at TU Delft, and with external partners. I aim to elevate both the academic and societal impact of Mobility research conducted at Industrial Design Engineering.
If you want to know more about working with IDE in the field of Mobility, please feel free to contact me. And don't forget to check out the profiles of the two other thematic Program Coordinators - Hilbrand Bodewes (Health) and Yumiko Henneberry (Sustainability).
I have a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design Engineering and a Master's degree in Transport, Infrastructure and Logistics.
During my PhD I investigated herding behaviour of people during disasters. During this PhD, we developed the serious game Everscape, which we used to take a first step towards quantifying herding behaviour in case of disasters.
After my PhD I worked at NS and KiM Netherlands Institute for Transport Policy Analysis and conducted research on various mobility topics.
