Ir. Bluemink, R.G.H.

Bart Bluemink is a lecturer and PhD candidate working at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering. His main research interests are Servitization, Design Strategy, Service Design, and Lean Project Management.

Academic Background

After his graduation in 1986, he worked as a product development manager for several leading brands in the consumer business. As a designer, he developed various successful products. As an experienced project manager, he led many complex innovation projects to a fruitful close.

During his career, he benefited greatly from his education at the faculty of Industrial Design Engineering. Maybe that is why he has become an enthusiastic Delft Industrial Design Engineering study program ambassador. In one way or another, he always stayed connected with the faculty by coaching master graduate students within the companies he worked for or as an external advisor as a member of the educational advisory committee.

In 2016, he started as a part-time teacher of practice in the DOS department. He became enthusiastic and passionate about sharing his experiences in design practice, theory and methods with BSc and MSc students. In 2018 he started his PhD on servitization, researching how technology-driven B2B manufacturers of investment goods can create product-service value propositions for end-users and become orchestrators of product-service ecosystems.
