Academic Background

Joyce graduated within the master program Design for interaction in 2011 at the faculty of industrial Design Engineering, Delft University of Technology. During her studies she found out that she acquired a taste for sports and movement, which reflects in extracurricular activities. Being an active lacrosse player, squash player, recreational ice skater and racing cyclist, she is very happy to work within the European ProFit project! ProFit aims to realize outdoor fieldlabs in sports innovation and promotion in several cities in Europe. Companies can test their innovations in sports and play together with knowledge institutes and real users. As a researcher within this project, her role includes proper development of research protocols including ethical regulations, composing a menu of suitable research methods for fieldlab Delft, and supervising research projects within the fieldlab.
