Ir. Brinkman, C.
Carlijn Brinkman is a lecturer at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering. Her expertise lies with Customer Experience research, Human-centered research and Design Doing.
Academic Background
Since mid 2018 Carlijn is working as Lead Education within the Design Doing collaboration. Design Doing is the 5 year partnership between TU Delft and KLM. Within the collaboration, she is also course coordinator of the X-lab course (a Master elective about tackling a strategic challenge for KLM with the goal to design for implementation). Apart from that, she is mentoring graduate students.
Carlijn is not new to the faculty; between 2005-2012 she did both her Bachelor and Master (DfI) at IDE. Her graduation project was a Service Design project about improving the patient experience in the UMC Utrecht. After graduation she worked for several agencies as a Customer Experience researcher and consultant. Within this role, she practiced design research in order to give user centered (strategical) advice to companies such as: hospitals, Zilveren Kruis Achmea, Philips, Adidas, ING and Telfort.
