Her main research interests are the influence of product appearance on consumer product perception and evaluation, and consumer research methods in product development.
After a MSc education in Economic Psychology at Tilburg University, Mariëlle received a PhD in Industrial Design Engineering at Delft University of Technology on the topic of product appearance and consumer perception and choice. Since then, she works as an Assistant Professor in the Product Innovation Management Department.
