Marierose Heineken-van Dooren is PhD graduate at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering.

Academic Background

Marierose Heineken – van Dooren has a MSc degree in Clinical- and Health Psychology from the University of Leiden. During her masters she has done research on human-robot interaction in relation to improve the HRQoL of patients with diabetes type 1. 

As a PhD in Industrial Design Engineering, at the Delft University of Technology, she works on the NextLevel project. This project is about game design principles for effective e-health-based mental healthcare therapy. She will in particular study the validation of gamified interventions, with a focus on the user context.
