Biography

Farzaneh Fakhredin was born in Tehran, Iran. After finishing her secondary school in Iran, she moved to China in 2002 to study her high school. She received her high school diploma in mathematics and physical science. She continued by moving to Malaysia in 2006 to study her B.Sc in Information Technology Management. After the completion of her bachelor's degree she moved to Sweden. She earned her M.Sc. in Information Systems at Lund University in June 2011. Now she is a PhD student at the faculty of Industrial Design Engineering of Delft University of Technology. Her studies focus on Design for end of life of electronics. The goal of her research is to understand how companies deal with resource efficiency and end of life of electronics by looking into

  • The QWERTY assessment and prioritization of different design scenarios
  • The role of the design team
  • And business barriers and enablers
