Ir. Bergh, M.R.K. van den
Marie Van den Bergh is researcher at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering.
Academic Background
Marie graduated in February 2020 from the Master Strategic Product Design. For her graduation project, she focused on a complex societal problem in Kenya, youth unemployment in relation to social businesses. She developed a human recourses process that enhanced the on-boarding process of young professionals in Kenya that developed creative capacity among the (young) employees. This project triggered her interest in complex societal challenges with multi-stakeholder networks. But she was always passionate about project that take people into account in their context and in relation to the world ( business and technology). That was also the reason why she decided to study strategic design after her Bachelor's in Product Development and the University of Antwerp. Looking holistically at a problem, in a co-creative approach, and in diverse contexts is what she prefers to do all the time.
At the moment she is working as a researcher for different research projects within the Systemic Design Lab at Industrial Design Engineering at TU Delft.
