Kaspar Jansen is professor of Emerging Materials at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering. His current research interests involve electronic textiles, Smart Materials, shape morphing materials and electroluminescence

Academic Background

Kaspar Jansen received his MSc degree in Chemical Engineering in 1987 and his PhD on injection moulding in 1993. His initial research focussed on polymers and polymer processing and later shifted towards material modelling of molding compounds in microelectronics. Since He joined Delft’s faculty of 2012 he works at the Industrial Design Engineering faculty in Delft in 2012 and was appointed as a full professor in 2015.
