Dr. Magnier, L.B.M.

Lise Magnier is assistant professor of Sustainable Consumer Behaviour at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering. Her main research interests lie in the fields of sustainable consumer behaviour and the circular economy with specific expertise in sustainable packaging design and product lifetimes extension.

Academic background

Prior to joining TU Delft , Lise Magnier got a PhD in Consumer Behaviour and was a lecturer at the University of Lille (France). In her work, she uses both qualitative and quantitative methods to study sustainable and circular consumption (products and packaging, product-service systems). She designs and test interventions for sustainable behaviour change and develops guidelines to support designers in transitioning to a circular economy. Her work was published in journals such as Journal of Environmental Psychology, Food Quality and Preference, Journal of Cleaner Production, Resources, Conservation and Recycling, International Journal of Design, Current Opinion in Psychology, International Journal of Retail and Distribution Management or Packaging Technology and Science.
