Adeola Onasanya is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering exploring Designing for Health, E-health, product development, Stakeholder management and social development.
Academic Background
Adeola Onasanya has over 10 years work experience spanning clinical services, management consulting, Health Field research and e-health with the private sector, public sector, for-profit and not-for-profut sectors. Adeola curently works as a Research fellow with Nigeria Institute of Social and Economic Research. She is also the Execeutive Director of GloEpid, a not-for profit tech enterprise building products uisng AI for Pandemic preparedness and Epidemiology.
Adeola Onasanya has a background in Medicine from the university of Ibadan, Nigeria; and a masters' degree in Health Economics and Health Policy from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. She is currently a PhD researcher at Industrial Design Engineering (IDE) faculty of Tudelft.
Her main research interest is to explore the role of stakeholders in the design and development of technological products for national health systems in developing countries. Her work focuses on the co-creation of Smart Optical devices for the diagnosis of Neglected tropical diseases (NTDs).
The supervisory team consists of Dr. Jan Carel Diehl and Prof Jo Van-Engelen.
