Biography
Dr. Abby Muricho Onencan is postdoctoral researcher at the TU Delft, faculty of Industrial Design Engineering. Her research field is Design for Sustainability, in particular the development of tools and methods to support systems engineering and catalyze social change. She is currently involved in the NWO ENRGISED (ENgaging Residents in Green energy Investments through Social networks, complExity, and Design) project. The project focus is social contagion of decision making - how people are influenced by others in their networks to switch to renewable energy sources.
Her second research expertise is system-oriented design (SOD), with a keen interest in collaborative systems mapping, scenario development and design of policy games. Abby holds a PhD in 'systems engineering', which she obtained in June 2019 while working at the faculty of Technology, Policy and Management (TPM).
