MSc. Pozo Arcos, B.

Beatriz Pozo Arcos is a PhD student at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering. Beatriz researches how to design products that will be easy-to-repair. More specifically, she is looking into how to facilitate the process of fault diagnosis -determining what is working and what is not working in a product- for users of small household appliances.

Academic Background

In 2016 Beatriz joined the MSCA-ITN research group CircEUit to investigate how to design products that are better suited for a circular economy. She holds an MSc in mechanical engineering by the University of Castilla La Mancha. She attended an academic year as a visiting student at the Institute National des Sciences Appliques in Lyon. For her master thesis, she worked on the redesign of the nozzle for an explosion suppression system. Beatriz has professional experience as a product developer for a multinational sportswear company, and as an assistant teacher at Beijing's University BFSU.
