MSc. Sumter, D.X.
Deborah Sumter is a PhD student at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering. Within her research she focuses on circular economy competencies for design (education). Her main interests are design for (social) sustainability and design for a circular economy.
Academic Background
Prior to starting her PhD, Deborah Sumter studied Iindustrial Ddesign Eengineering at the Delft University of Technology. During her education in Delft, she took part in several (social) sustainability projects which have shaped her practical experiences. In 2016 she graduated cum laude in Strategic Product Design.
Deborah was the 2017 Schmidt MacArthur Fellow for the TU Delft.
