MSc. Sumter, D.X.
Deborah Sumter is a PhD Candidate part of the Circular Product Design research group. Within her research she focuses on the role of the design(ers) in the transition towards the Circular Economy. As part of her PhD, she takes part in EU co-funded project called ResCoM (Resource Conservative Manufacturing).
She holds a Master degree in Strategic Product Design. During her education in Delft, she took part in several Bottom of the Pyramid projects, which reflect her interest in social sustainability and have shaped her practical experiences. She is a 2017 Schmidt MacArthur Fellow.
