Verindi Vekemans is a PhD candidate within the Material Experience Lab and her research focusses on generative design within biodesign. She is working within the NEXTSKINS project where she conducts research into living regenerative skins.

Academic Background

Verindi Vekemans is a design researcher who did her bachelor's and master's in Industrial Design at the University of Technology in Eindhoven. During her master’s she became interested in Shape-changing interfaces and interactive materials. She is currently doing her PhD at the Department of Sustainable Design Engineering and is part of the NEXTSKINS project. The aim of her research is to investigate living regenerative skins and to create generative design tools for biodesigners.
