Lisa Wiese is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering. Her research focuses on how everyday digital technologies such as email clients, online shops, or social networks can be (re)designed so that they foster sustained wellbeing.
Lisa has a strong background in and understanding of the IT industry. For almost 15 years, she has helped international technology companies gather a deeper understanding of their users and adapt their services to users' needs.
At IDE, Lisa seeks to develop design tools and methods that help design practitioners understand and integrate principles of wellbeing design into their daily work and thus ultimately change human-technology-interactions for the better. Lisa is an external and part-time PhD candidate based in Berlin, Germany.
Prior to her industry work and being a PhD candidate at IDE, Lisa studied Psychology, Statistics and Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Bamberg, Germany. Her diploma thesis at the Max-Planck-Institute of Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences in Leipzig, Germany investigated early social-cognitive development in infants using neuroscientific methods.
