Academic Background
As an external PhD candidate, Marieke works as a researcher at the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (HU). At the HU she is part of the Research Group Research Competence. Trained as an Industrial Design Engineer in Delft, she has been affiliated with HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht since 2002, where she worked at the Centre for Applied Science & Technology, at UCREATE (Centre of Expertise Creative Industries) and at the Centre of Expertise Smart Sustainable Cities. She worked for several years as a project manger within the Research group Co-Design.
