Operational Gate Allocation Using a Sliding Time Window
This thesis describes a model to optimally reallocate flights to gates on the actual day of operation for a large airport, such as Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS), taking into account the actual time of departure of the flight at the time of planning and thus use a more accurate time of arrival. This model then allows the user to do a trade-off between delays, gate changes and remotely handled flights.
