Eight VIDI grants for TU Delft

NWO has awarded 8 experienced researchers from TU Delft with a VIDI grant worth 800,000 euros. The grant enables them to develop their own innovative line of research and set up their own research group.

Vidi grant for AE researcher Alexis Bohlin

Aerospace Engineering researcher Dr. Alexis Bohlin received a Vidi grant from the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) for his proposal ‘Multidimensional mapping of spatio-thermochemical states’. The research aims to develop innovative hyperspectral rapid imaging technologies with unprecedented simultaneous resolution in space, spectrum and time. One targeted area is gas turbine combustion, focusing on renewable clean combustion technology, with increased fuel efficiency and reduced emissions.

TU Delft spinoff Atmos UAV presenteert ‘mapping drone’

De Delftse spinoff Atmos UAV presenteert op 23 mei Marlyn, een hybride drone die de flexibiliteit van een helikopter combineert met de snelheid en het bereik van een toestel met vaste vleugels. Het toestel kan snel grote terreinen in kaart brengen voor bedrijven in onder meer de bouw, mijnbouw, landbouw en bosbouw.
