Design Oriented Analysis of Composite Structures
Analytical and computational scientific-based and validated design tools can allow efficient design and optimization of composite structures for aeronautical, space and automotive applications. In particular, fast analysis tools and optimization procedures are developed to investigate laminated composite and sandwich structures. Also grid stiffened composite structures and advanced tailored fibre-reinforced structures are considered. These structures are exposed to multiple loading conditions, applied statically, dynamically and in fatigue.
